Kathryn Starkey is a business woman and mother of
four children who has lived in Pinellas and Pasco
counties for over 20 years. A member of a pioneer
Tampa Bay family well known for its commitment to
our community, she is the only candidate with a
proven record working in our community for
improvements in education, the
environment, and the
economy.
Kathryn is a member of the
Pasco County School
Board, she was elected in 2004, re-elected in 2008
without opposition and is the Immediate Past Chair.
She has been appointed to various positions five
times by two Governors, both Governor Charlie Crist
and Governor Jeb Bush, as well as a former Senate
President. Kathryn has always had the support of
many of our community leaders and the citizens who
have watched her take on a task, make it happen and
stick with it until it is successful.

Kathryn is married to Trey Starkey and is
the mother of four children, Lindsey who resides in
Columbus, Mississippi where she lives with her
husband, U. S. Air Force Captain Tino Diaz and works
as a Physician Assistant in Orthopedic Surgery;
Hunter, resides in South Tampa and is a Director
with a Tampa Corporation; Zack and Madi both attend
River Ridge Middle School.
Kathryn and her family attend, and are members of,
Trinity Presbyterian Church of Seven Springs.

Kathryn Starkey is no Tallahassee insider. She’s a
concerned mother who knows there are problems and
needs in our state that are not being addressed by
the legislature. She has the resolve to go to
Tallahassee and represent us, not the lobbyists and
special interests, to get things done for Florida
